Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. What The Heck UPDATE!

After all of my frustration yesterday over all of the problems listed below - I have found out that there is a little black arrow under the "Edit Print" icon next to the Twitter icon.

My problem still lies with dA not informing us of these changes and give some sort of instruction as to where this new stuff is.  If they have time to post big contests and such, can they not find time to notify the members here of the changes being made?  NO!!  Instead they make you feel like a complete idiot on a scavenger hunt.

Ok I am fine knowing where the button is now located, but I am not fine with the fact that nobody could even comment last night to their messages.  I hoped the heck it was working today, but NO!!  I still can not reply to a comment. I can only leave one and that is it.

So - I will get back to you all when I can. But in the meantime - Marsille

This is totally ridiculous!!  We pay for service and have Premium Accounts and you would think that dA would at least put out a NOTICE that they are going to be working on the servers or whatever the heck they are doing.

As of right now and this has been going on most of the day and night,  and I am fed up with it.

1 -  There are no thumbnail numbers, so features are OUT !

2 -  You can not reply to a note!  Instead you have to make a totally new note !

3 -  You can not reply to a comment someone has left you !

4  - Uploads are sometimes 3 or 4 times before they go through !

I am sure there are other problems, I just haven't found them yet!!!!!!!

Tells me there is a black arrow on the upper right part of the images and if you cliick on that, you will get the thumbnail #
I do not have that on any of my images yet.

I'm all the way with you on this one! Nothing like making someone feel like an idiot. I saw the post Marsille mentioned while visiting a Literature deviant but didn't give it much thought because I didn't expect it to impact me. WRONG! I asked someone the day the "thumbs" disappeared and they pointed out to me where they moved to. I sent a note to the dA Link System group straight away and they put out an announcement. At least it helped the members and watchers of that group. Nothing beats the grape vine! If I'm so lucky to be sitting on frontline info in the future I know better who can spread the word faster and further!
Strange though, I could respond to notes and comments as long as I didn't use emoticons, etc.

I've been having trouble commenting too & here I thought it was me !!!

I use FF too, btw. I was really stressing out tonight on IFDD until I finally saw the drop down box & found thhe thumb code. I just don't see why they had to go & hide it like that.

Not only that, But I think my comsys has been hacked a faw times while logged in! FF would lock up, So I would pull the plug real fast! Nothings crashed though! I probably was just trippin flmao! O well! Can't quit now!

3.x to 4.0 worked great! I think there definitely thinking way tooooo much

!!! The new FF layout makes no sense: But, I can always tweak it how I want it! The same thing has happened with Ubuntu! But that's another story lmao! And, What about flash player: WEIRD! Chromium isnt great either
